Presents the construction and energy-saving performance of the aluminum-plastic co-extruded window, and compares with those of the traditional broken bridge aluminum and plastic window frames. Calculates the thermal properties of the aluminum-plastic co-extruded frames with different glasses using MQMC software. Taking Guangzhou region as an example, compares the annual energy consumptions of typical residential building and office building adopting the aluminum-plastic co-extruded window frame with those adopting other common window frames. The results show that the heat transfer coefficient of the frame is 70% of that of common aluminum window frame, 85% of that of the broken bridge aluminum window frame and similar to that of the plastic window frame. The aluminum-plastic co-extruded window frame is significantly contributing to the energy saving.
